This morning, my mom, after making clear that she knows nothing of her present surroundings and recalls nothing of her past, when I tell her I am her daughter, says to me earnestly, gently: "Tell me something about yourself." 😧
How does she muster such grace in the chaos of total disorientation?
Take each experience today for what it is. Be observant. Savor the different flavor of each minute. If you find your attention wandering, gently bring it back to the moment, perhaps by showing it something of beauty, like a flower or a cloud or the pattern of a building. What does this moment ask of you? Which of your myriad of skills and talents is called up in each moment? What does this moment tell you about you? You don’t have to do it perfectly, just do the best you can.
