Wednesday:
102 seconds of plank
23.3 KM of #Cycling (24°C, Humidex of 30°C)
11 minutes of yoga for runners
30 minutes of HIIT
20 minutes of strength training
Another day of doing the outside portion of my workout first to try and avoid the heat.
Getting home hot and sweaty then having to workout more is not very appealing. 🤔
Need to start building an underground city covered in parkland. Anyone have a spare billion sitting around?
This is one of the underappreciated superpowers of #cycling. My old commute was 18 minutes door-to-door. Every time¹.
Roadworks, unexplained traffic jams, cancelled trains, late-running busses… didn’t figure. I just knew it would take me 18 minutes of pleasant cycling. And I too had a beautiful route, along the river, seeing it change each day, or seeing rigs being hauled in.

(Yes, even the Paralympics Committee can be ableist. This video lacks audio description. I only have space to say it is very stylized animation in pastel pink.)
Here’s a map that shows the area where the Provincetown Select Board is proposing to ban people from riding bikes but allow people
to drive cars. It encompasses Commercial St through the center of town from the library all the way to the Canteen restaurant. You can read our statement about the proposal and our suggestions for ways to improve safety on the street: https://bikescape.org/pedal-blog/dont-ban-bikes#Provincetown#CapeCod#SafeStreets#traffic#mapoli#bicycle#cycling#BikeTooter
Pedalling for change — How cycling became a tool of liberation for Karachi’s women
"A local vendor reached out to me - “If you get girls onboard, I’ll take care of the cycles”. The proposition seemed like a dream come true. Excited, I floated the message in our WhatsApp group and got my first signup forming That Crazy Cyclist, our beloved girl’s cycling group. What started with two cycles quickly grew into 12 cycles within a month."
@FolksVelo Ahh - I could add a Chopper as well, and two tandems and a couple more recumbents but, but here are four machines that have influenced me.
