Had an idea to take an old song I wrote and meld it with an new one I am working on. It worked! Took the guitar part and made it the bass line. Once it got the tempo correct it was all good. #MakingMusic#HomeRecording#LogicPro#Guitar#Bass
The bass part was the reason I needed a drummer. I can't keep up with the fast bits (should have played fewer notes I guess), but my clap track gave me sonething to hang on to for dear life.

I need to find the will to bash through feeling sad and wanting to just lie around and goof off.
I want to record another cover for YouTube, but I'm just not feeling motivated.
I don't know whether I can blame the eclipse. Or the "I appreciate your effort" comment I got recently. (I'm really vain, and faint praise saps my will.)
This is part of the reason music died here in the UK https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNtgnGkqgHA
When you're left with only a laptop to make music the genres start to ebb away as to what you can construct.
This affects music teachers as well as professional musicians.
A while back someone posted a clip of some gorgeous white bird almost walking like an Egyptian with "Word Up!" in the background - "glide by the people as they start to look and stare / do your dance, do your dance..."
It inspired me to cover the song.
I thought I posted this here - can't find it now. Hmm. Here it is again! #guitar#coverSong#homeRecording#music https://youtu.be/NCb5t0onAuc
With a bit more time on my hands, uploading clips as I find time to make more home recording blips.
Here's a demo of me noodling around with effects and Bossanova forms. There's a rhythmic noise sound that was created by one part of the effects that I left in this demo because I thought it sounded neat. Kind of a wintry filter on the Bossa sound after the blizzard we had here.
