I just made a ceiling light made entirely from recycled materials. It's rustic, powerful, and can stand on its own in industrial/loft or steampunk environments. I recommend it for game rooms, wine cellars and other design rooms used by men!

Loft/Industrial type table mood lamp reimagined from old kerosene lamp.
I cut off the bottom of the old kerosene tank, the unnecessary parts, and got a natural cherry wood base to which I attached the luminaire, and the E14 socket, in which a 5W conventional bulb provides mood light. It received a standard swing switch cable.
I also replaced the breath-thin glass lens with a more stylishly matched, stronger piece.

At first it was a simple device that would remind me whether or not I took my meds every day. Eventually, though, I needed a more advanced organizer which included morning and evening pills.
