I support the sentiment but I'm interested in why anyone thinks that this election has any impact on Scotland's path to independence? It's just about who holds power in Westminster and if the party win there will be a reduction in devolved powers, if win they'll be too busy to look at Scottish independence for many, many years.

🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨

Veteran Labour MP Diane Abbott has reportedly had the whip restored & will stand for Labour at the General Election!

@JimmyB

's the leader of the Party. If he was a true business brain, the very first thing he'd have done is wiped out the previous regime & started afresh.

He didn't, so that's who he is... A politician. 🤷🏾‍♂️

#DianeAbbott is over 70 years old & is #Labour's past. I understand why she was suspended but she had a very valid point from a Black person's perspective

HOWEVER, saying what she did left Labour wide open to criticisms of #Antisemitism, just as the #Israel & #Palestine war broke out, & with #GE2024 on the horizon

This was the opportunity the desperate #Tories were looking for, leaving Labour little option but to be seen to be throwing the book at her. A wider discussion is needed

Which companies? There's an old saying "A new broom sweeps clean".

To be honest, if I were I'd have wiped out those harking back to a Party from the days where rickets & scurvy were prevalent & we used to send 6 year olds up chimneys.

The world has moved on. The 's manufacturing base has been decimated, & the world our Grandparents built is in a bygone era.

Labour either evolves with the times, or dies. Labour has chosen to evolve, much to the annoyance of some

So Victoria Derbyshire reveals today that disciplinary proceedings against Diane Abbott ended months ago. Consequently Starmer had to come clean that they have no intention of allowing her to stand in the next GE. What a nasty piece of work he is.

Labour doesn't know what to do, they hate Diane Abbott but losing another seat to an independent in London would look bad. It won't effect their chances of Government but these are vain, public-school boys and they have to WIN (especially against a Black Lady...)
