Damn. I listened by chance to #markknopfler. Feels I get depressed right now. Need some metal to get my head clear again. So #Mütterlein from France has to help me. #MusicWomenWednesday
Well, my #Wednesday shift was better than the last one and there's a bright sun shining...
...but I just consumed some vile conservative hypocrisy (even more despicable than usual), so I'm choosing #Bestial#Black#Metal violence for this #MittwochMetalMix! 🔥👹🔥
And because the DIABOLICAL FUCKWITCH OF THE BLACK FLAME 😃 is on vocal duty this might also fit for #MusicWomenWednesday ->
It's Music Women Wednesday from @loewe and it's also #MittwochMetalMix from @Kitty, so maybe instead of putting up a K.K. Slider joke, I do the brand new track from Halocene.
It is time for #Musicwomenwednesday, My artist this week is
Carson Amanda "Carsie" Blanton (born July 22, 1985) is an American singer-songwriter based in New Jersey, who performs on guitar. Blanton has released eight studio albums and three EPs, all with a "pay what you please" pricing strategy. Blanton wrote "My true calling as an artist is to share…What I actually want to do is make beautiful music and then give it to everyone, regardless of what they give me back."
Fresh Air called Blanton "one of those hard-headed open-hearted protestors who can make revolution sound desirable to your body, even if your mind wants to resist it", in reference to her 2021 album, Love and Rage.
It's been awhile since I posted for #MusicWomenWednesday, but lately Kim Sawol has been on rotation at my place, so let's celebrate her newest release. Her vocal tone is so beautifully gentle. 💜
Hot diggity dawg, the new Oceans of Slumber tune is the absolute top! I love Cammie's new use of the harsh vocals, which pair very well with her soaring cleans. There's just so many great twists and turns here.
Given my penchant for women who owe a lot of their musical stylings to Stevie Nicks, you'd think I would be a bigger Fleetwood Mac fan. (not really my jam)
