Ignorance of the two Dakotas may be convenient to most who simply fly over, but its alienating as hell to those of us who are living it on the ground.
#Trump has his posse again. Today it’s more #Republican elected officials. Today, Trump will be joined by the #House speaker, #MikeJohnson, as well as #NorthDakota’s governor, #DougBurgum, a contender to be Trump's running mate. Also present will be Representatives #ByronDonalds & #CoryMills of Florida, & #VivekRamaswamy, who was one of Trump's primary rivals this year. Both Donalds & Ramaswamy are longshot hopefuls to be Trump's running mate.
The old grain elevators of Arena. Arena is a #GhostTown in central #NorthDakota that has had no residents in a few years. The elevators are starting to lean, but it will probably be a while before they fall over.
It was initially done in 1949 by Charles Selberg, an artist from #GrandForks ND who went on to do many impressive things with his life. The painting was whitewashed shortly after its completion by a group against the consumption of alcohol. In 2003, Chandler O'Leary, an artist from the Fargo-Moorhead area, restored the painting.
They really should be prosecuting their governor on this. "Hating" an animal (her word) does not constitute "cause" by any rational definition. And looking at the other killings she's done besides her dog, there may be enough there to kick it up to a felony.
