Almost up to 1000 #PostCrossing cards sent. Given that I have already posted 14 cards this week, and will be putting 3 more in the post tomorrow, I should hit 1000 by next weekend.
Received a birthday card from a lovely lady in Norway, plus a #postcard for Mack (written "by" her own cat...lol). I love when #Postcrossing folks find cards that look like Mack. 😻
Awesome fossil stamps I received from Canada! The conodonts one is so cool - they were jawless vertebrates kind of like hagfish. Parts of their "teeth" are found as fossils. #postcrossing#stamps#fossils#conodonts#biology
Stamp from China of the Chinese alligator, one of two alligator species in the world. The other is the American alligator. The snub faces are pretty cute. #stamps#postcrossing#herpetology
So I joined #Postcrossing (postcrossing.com), where you send and receive postcards from folks around the world. I ran to the post office tonight to get some stamps, and then went to one of the little gift shops a few blocks away to see about some postcards. I couldn’t find any! She said, “Oh we have lots of cards, but no postcards…”, but she thought the art center next door would surely have some. They didn’t have any, either! Well dang. That person said, “I think national parks have them?”
Used a #penplotter and my #fountainpens to make these contour map postcards of Mt St Helens. Made a dozen or so and have already sent them all off for #Postcrossing.
