While searching for an entry point to learn about Universal Design for Learning, I found this Playbook by DTU Skylab: https://universaldesignguide.com/

It contains over 40 really well described methods and other resources to be used in any design process with advice on how to make workshop settings more inclusive.

Attention: Although described as open source, there is no specific info regarding its licensing.

You can structure your course or workshop so it's more ADHD-friendly and you'll likely help more than the ADHD folks.

Done prepping for the fall semester? Double check that you're removing barriers for your students rather than creating them:

@zenforyen @EricaMcIntyre @academicchatter @lulu_powerful @udl UDL and more UDL (Universal Design for Learning). Multiple choices allow students to choose the options that work well for them.

Whether they're choosing how they learn the material or how they demonstrate that knowledge, UDL can go a long way in removing barriers for disabled students.

"Reconsider your course design." Louder for the folks in the back.

Rather than thinking of disabled students as the enemy creating more work, ask yourself how you can make your course more accessible from the start. How can you build in more support? What changes reduce the need for accommodations to begin with?
