"The main prop of capitalism are behind you now. They are the police, they are Murdoch's press, they are the City of London. People, we must form a strong Labour movement. If there had been solidarity with the miners during their historic strike, they would have won. The same is true of the teachers' struggle, the Irish struggle, the people at Greenham Common."
Tony Benn speaking to striking newspaper workers in Wapping, 1986

And we have Starmer.

Capitalism isn't working for us. It perpetuates inequality by concentrating wealth and power in the hands of a few, leading to social divisions. Profit-driven systems exploit the working class, create economic hierarchies, and prioritize private interests over communal well-being. A stateless, classless society where resources are collectively owned and distributed based on need is the cure to capitalism.

"Walmart surprises with industry-leading change to wages"

Walmart's surprise is that it is lowering its starting wage by $1 this year.

A 2020 US Government Accountability Office study of data from six states found Walmart was a top employer of Medicaid [healthcare subsidies] enrollees and a top employer of SNAP [food subsidies] recipients.

Walmart's business model relies on corporate welfare while its employees work full time and struggle to pay for food and healthcare.

Employees need to surprise Walmart with a union ASAP.

Things are bad, but not lost.

Feeding us despair is a strategy to keep us neutralised.

The ruling class knows and fears this:

When we fight together, we win.

"Productivity jumped as offices closed, and stayed high through 2021. When companies started mandating a return to the office, productivity dropped sharply."

The return to the office could be the real reason for the slump in productivity. Here’s the data to prove it.
