My city's looking to get rid of an ordinance that prevents sign content from changing faster than a minute (or thereabouts), to allow signs to flash & change at any speed.
This is the sort of thing I would've put out on twitter back in the day... Mastodon, watcha got for me?😃
There aren't a lot of plants where I live, naturally anyways, so it always fascinates me seeing plants growing wherever they can, seemingly unmaintained compared to the official works. In some cases, its peoples kindness growing them, compelled by some want of greenery, under buildings, compelled by their other times, they really are growing in spite of it all
(If anyone could tell me what plant the first pic is I'd be grateful!)
Climate change is an immediate threat to the majority of the world's population.
We need a local, regional, state, national, and international "moon shot" type of concentration of effort using available resources while developing and advancing new science and technologies to counteract the damage humans have caused.
Without this type of all-out, universal cooperation, human civilization, and perhaps humanity itself, are in imminent danger of extinction.
There are SO many Everything, Everywhere, All at Once #ClimateChange mitigation ideas and opportunities that take relatively little effort and can pay for themselves in very little time, almost immediately in cases and play like this.
We just need the collective will to make these happen now.
It's a big sunny so I'll try and get another shot on the way home, but this is what that camera I spotted at the side of the road looks like. Can anyone identify it and its purpose?
On the ride in to work this morning, I spotted a small black camera on a pole at the roadside. It wasabout the size of a DSLR but with the lens flush to the body, barely wider than the pole, clearly designed to be missed.
