A relationship that begins with mutual annoyance, insults, and an unwillingness to respect each-others' choice of career and place to live isn't likely to end well. At best, the two people can part with civility and seek out more respectful and sympathetic partners.

On an unrelated note, I can't figure out why keeps rejecting my scripts.

I really love writing game narrative so much. It is like book plotting on supercharged steroids. :D

Also huge recommendation for anyone who has a big project underway - Milanote - virtual mindmapping is really easy on it, and it has a free version that works on both PC and mobile. (:

Hey! I'm hoping to direct a comedy short film this fall called The Human Under The Bed, but I want to get as much feedback on the script as I can before I pitch it. If you're interested, please give it a read and reply with your suggestions and thoughts! I'm particularly interested in making sure the film is as funny as it can be, so any suggestions that make it funnier are appreciated.

Here's a link to the script:

And here's the puppet that will star as AJ, the monster kid:

Does anyone know how to open .kitsp files (from ) in ? I recall reading somewhere that this was indeed possible, but can't find where!

Does anyone out there use the scriptwriting software Celtex? I have a 13 year old file on my computer and I can't open it anymore. I read somewhere that one could re-export it or something. Any ideas, hints? It's a short film script which is important to me, so any help would be appreciated. Thank you so much 🙏🏼

Was recently asked which scientific 'myth' I'd like to see banished forever

Obviously, given my field and output, I had to choose 'we only use 10% of our brains'

It's not just a silly thing that leads to shoddy movie plots. It's worse than that

For one thing, the origins of the 'we only use 10% of our brain' notion are unclear. But analysis suggests it came about at least a century ago. Believe it or not, our understanding of the brain has improved by orders of magnitude since then

JdeBP,

@Garwboy For what it's worth, there are shoddy movie plots about everything.

It's just that most people in most fields don't realize that television and film dramas are as bad in every field as they notice them to be in their own fields.

Barristers will tell you how ridiculous the portrayals of trials are. Telephone engineers will tell you that that's not how calls are traced. SOCOs cringe at evidence blunders. And so forth.
