I think it's worth talking about the fact that the Third Reich's war in Eastern Europe was in large part a Colonialist war, with #SettlerColonialism as an explicit goal.
Furthermore, such German settler Colonialist fantasies did not start with the Third Reich - they definitely existed by the time of the Second German Empire, where numerous texts compared the "Wild East" of Eastern Europe to the #WildWest of the USA (which was, of course, the most famous space for settler Colonialist fantasies).
At last BASS REEVES has been brought to the screen. Years ago, before anybody else, I tried to get Hollywood producers interested in a movie about this real life Black Deputy US Marshal and probably the single most effective lawman in the Old West. He was an ex slave! No interest then. Danny Glover tried too. No interest. HBO tried but not much. Now at last Paramount Plus is offering a good version of the Bass Reeves story.
If you like bloody revenge, a laconic, indefatigable hero, and miraculous, mystical happenings in the mythical Old West, then I think you'll share my opinion; "The Thousand Crimes of Ming Tsu" by Tom Lin kicks ass. [CW: sex, violence, drug use, racists]
