    I’m starting to have opinions about data encapsulation. Specifically: the ramifications of (re-)sharing a screenshot of another social network to a social network.

    I like && hate that it breaks the provenance chain because that’s also the tracking sequence. But I think the “everything I see on X is screenshots of people on site Y” vibe many people seem to enjoy is one I’m less interested in.

    & yet I, too, share the impulse.

    This, I believe, is a Kind of Chicken because the other fowl in this section were ducks. A lot of people found it compelling & just … stared.
