I own a Huawei P20 phone with the Leica camera. I try to take at least 1 half decent photo every day if I can.

@Workshopshed Probably not. With the number of stupid drivers on the roads, letting them go 3D is asking for trouble! 😉

@Brownian_motion I have no idea. I overheard them in the coffee shop and then they drank up and left, never to be seen again!

@Steampunk_Prof @Raspberry_Pi Dunbar Castle does actually exist! It's in, ahem, Dunbar on the East coast of Scotland.

The weather there is better than here I suspect! 😉

Good morning fellow Mastos and hello Sunny Sunday. The sun has been up since before 5AM, and I been awake too. I need better curtains! On with the day, let's enjoy the day and have lots of fun. And, if you are like me, SPF 50 and a welders helmet are mandatory to go outside! 😐

I had a small visitor yesterday evening as I sat in the kitchen. Luckily Wesley didn't see it otherwise I would have had to scrape him off the patio doors! You can see the reflection of something bright off the doors.

Extra points: Rewinding cassette tapes with a pencil.

Vinyl records (Ok, making a comeback in the UK).

Cassette tapes (Ok, also coming back!)

Good morning fellow Mastos and hello Tuesday. It looks like being a nice day today -- if you like all that warm weather and sunshine of course. I'm not a big fan! Still, we have almost a whole day to enjoy, so let's do it. Have fun. Cheers.

Today's random photo is another Yorkshire Egret. I don't know the actual make of the Egret, probably a Little Egret, but there's a few around North Leeds these days. (But then again, too few to mention?) 😉

Good morning fellow Mastos and hello to what will be a moist Monday although it hasn't started raining yet. A good time to walk Wesley, if he was awake. Although it's Monday, have a good day, whatever you do, and for goodness sake, have some fun. Cheers.

Today's random photo from my phone is a dandelion clock. Anyone know the time? 😁

Good morning fellow Mastos and hello to another soggy Sunday. Hopefully you all have recovered from yesterday's coronation thingy? Today is allegedly a day of rest but as MrsD is not up yet, I don't know whether I'll be resting (unlikely) or not! 😉 Have a great day, whatever you are up to. Cheers.

Sunday's random photo is from earlier this week and shows a small stream just off the Engine Fields nature reserve, in Yeadon, Leeds.

Good morning fellow Mastos and hello to a wet and misty Friday. I will be walking Wesley and doing some work on my second edition of my first book, Arduino Software Internals. The request from Apress for a second edition came yesterday, unexpectedly.

Whatever you are doing today, do it well and have fun.

Today's random photo is from a couple of days ago while walking Wesley. It's the Leeds Liverpool canal near Rodley -- again!.

Good morning fellow Mastos and hello Wednesday. It's 06:25 and I've been wide awake for flipping hours. Just waiting quietly for MrsD and Wesley to wake up and we can get on with our Wednesday. I hope you all slept well, or at least, better than me, and have a great day. Cheers

Today's random photo is from yesterday in the garden. It's my 25 year old apple tree in blossom. Well, one branch anyway. I planted a seed from a New Zealand Pink Lady, and last year got one crab apple!

Apress are going to publish my second book about the Arduino. This one is all about Arduino Interrupts and how to harness the power thereof!

Not feeling it today. In need of inspiration. Someone show me a unique or beautiful recent bird/wildlife photograph.

    Thanks in advance.

    NormanDunbar,
    @NormanDunbar@mastodon.scot avatar

@JimsPhotos @scohar70 That's correct, we have only two snakes. There is also a Slow Worm, which looks like a snake but is actually a legless lizard.

I've seen one adder and one slow worm in 63 years in the UK. I saw a grass snake swimming in the lion pond at Yorkshire Wildlife Park a couple of years ago. Bad photo though.

Good morning fellow Mastos and welcome to a very chilly Tuesday. Google sent me a weather alert just now, apparently it's going to snow. It's certainly cold enough at the moment, my thermometer reads 3°C.

Never the less, I'm off to the beach! Have a great day everyone regardless of the weather.

Another random photo. This is lichen on a Birch tree. I don't know what kind of Birch it is but it's very white!

Good morning fellow Mastos. Sorry folks, it's Monday. And the weather is miserable again too. Never mind, let's stick two fingers up at it, and have a great day regardless!

Today's photo is from yesterday. It's a wee stream somewhere near Filey, East Yorkshire. I like the moss covering the trees.

For the sake of empathy, I ask you all to take a second to consider things from the perspective of Conservatives:

Inflation is out of control. Housing is unaffordable. The healthcare system is broken. Everyone is drowning in student debt. Ecosystems are collapsing. We're constantly on the brink of war.

So naturally, one would ask, how can we even hope to solve these daunting and complex issues if we do not have detailed information on the genitals of every American citizen?
