@StillIRise1963 I had to find an article not behind a pay/login wall yikes. They want to further criminalize and round up homeless people while blocking local governments from taking humane approaches. It’s internment for the sake of protecting property values.

I have a theory that the men who reply to posts with some version of "not all men" do so because they see some of themselves in whatever statement was made and they don't like it.

@talia_christine Of course it’s not all men but what a lot of men don’t understand is it could be any man and how can one tell the difference. Rather than defend my character I try to reflect on the impact my words and actions have on women then learn and adjust accordingly. The only way things will get better, and safer, is if ALL MEN step up and be better.

@RickiTarr My grandparents and their siblings, all from the greatest generation, all looked like they were in their late 80s when they were 60. I think there’s something about living through a great depression and a world war, along with the state of medical care at the time, they really aged that whole generation.

Y'all I just made myself feel so old, hubs looked up top 100 music from 2001, 2011, 2021, and today and the amount of music I could recognize decreased by significantly. I recognized probably 70% of 2001 and decreasing as I went on. BUT I blame the internet, I can listen to exactly the kind of music I want with no dependence on the radio, but also I'm old!

@RickiTarr The 2000s should be my decade of music but I can’t recognize most of it. That’s only because I was too busy listening to J-Pop. I’m most familiar with music from the 50s, 60s, 70s (thanks mom), then the 90s.

At some point, my purse became a walking pharmacy. Stomach upset, got a headache? I have you covered. Need bug spray or sunscreen, what about some lotion or hand sanitizer? I've got a snack, and something to freshen your breath.

When I had surgery a few years ago, I had a weight limit of 10 pounds for 3 months! Hubs said he needed to weigh my purse to make sure I could safely carry it. I thought he was joking, turns out it weighed 17 pounds!

Sorry it took so long for a update but these two are a handful when not in a couch coma. We had to empty out our family room because they will get into EVERYTHING. Otherwise they are well behaved little raptors that need a lot of attention.

When I was a kid, my mom made a new rug out of an old one for me. She turned over a rug she no longer wanted and used rug glue to attach rug samples in a patch quilt type of way. It's was really cute and it's
still there.

*Back then, rug samples were free.

To change the live TV channel with #Plex on #Roku takes 3 button pushes and 11 seconds. It occurred to me that it was actually faster back in the old black and white TV days to get up out of the chair, walk over to the TV, and manually change the channel. This is what 65 years of technology advances has brought us.

@AGT @StillIRise1963 We should have gone in united with our allies and pushed Russia out of Ukraine from the start then immediately let them and any former Soviet country that wants to into the UN. Instead we’re doing the bare minimum to help Ukraine and allowing arms manufacturers to profit by stringing this war out.
