Here comes my the least popular topic, which is probably responsible for the most of my followers, and yet it barely gets any reactions.
I guess I'm an improper war reporter. Sorry, I wasn't exactly prepared for this ;)
Another dronight tonight. Incredibly loud, with debris falling nearby and cars wailing, but overall seems to be fine. We call this state of events fine. I'll sleep now, I have an appointment at 9:00 tomorrow. I mean today.

This is my third attempt at a reply, as I'm just lost for words when it comes to this unbelievably cruel and unjust war, and how long you've had to endure it without an end in sight!

All I can say is I wish you and yours stay safe and have the strength to handle this terrible situation no one should be subjected to as well as possible. 💙💛

Happy !

As my studio is currently in bits and I'm on a new instance I hope I can get away with a cheeky repost of a jam I did a couple of years ago. Drums and "bass" samples are from a mate's 909 I recorded many years ago.

Also featured are Behringer TD-3 and RD-6, Korg MS-10, Sequential Sixtrak and a DIY delay unit.🔊🎶

The recent flurry of sewing projects has come full circle. It started with a crossbody bag that looked like an addressable LED (https://mastodon.social/@geekmomprojects/110929578697233525)
Today I sewed a zippered tote bag (no electronics, but still cute) that looks like a standard LED. I think it's all out of my system now. Maybe.

A red home sewn tote bag shaped like a standard LED, with iron on applique that looks like the interior electronics of a through-hole standard LED. The strap of the bag is connected where the LEDs legs would attach.

@geekmomprojects Ooh, that's gorgeous! 😍

It's wonderful to be able to 'recycle' stone. On this job, we were able to reinstate this small entrance wall using stone from the original mill building that once stood next to the river.

We added a flat cope to the wall, and as I was building, a group of walkers came down the hill, stopped to chat, and posed for photos sitting on this little seat. How lovely!

A drystone wall runs from a tall copper beech tree towards the roof of a cottage. The scene is quaint.
A drystone wall with a break in the cope stones. The stones are tightly stacked and behind the wall are trees.

That is a very inviting seat!

Sorry to butt in, but we just travelled past Montanejos, which looked like it has got a few nice climbing spots (though in some places there were warning signs that it is forbidden until 15th Sept. for bird protection reasons).

Anyway, it is a little closer to Valencia and worth a visit for the hot springs at Fuente de los Baños alone, so maybe that's worth looking into...

Can't be bothered documenting things recently but looking at plants growing is always good. Nice to be able to harvest enough leaves for a salad almost every day.
There are news about sewing and weaving but another time, I guess.

A salad made, among other things, from the leaves from my Kratky garden. Also cucumbers, tomatoes, flax seeds and sesame, as well as oil, vinegar and salt.
The same Kratky garden earlier this week, so looks a bit different but the same participants.

Hmm, automating my parents' conservatory windows using one of these is turning out to be easier as well as slightly more time consuming than I anticipated.

It was super easy to automate the motors using a temperature sensor on the device itself with their firmware.

But making it work with the original up/down switches does require some scripting, and stuffing everything into the wall box is just not possible.

I should not have left this job to the very last minute!

After several failed attempts using a complicated technique, I successfully sewed a simple pattern to make a SMD resistor phone case. I forget to fully include the seam allowance in the size computation, so it just barely fits my phone. It makes a nice set along with my PTH resistor glasses case!
#sewing #sewingproject

A cutting mat with two small zipper bags on it. The glasses case bag in the background looks like a 47 Ohm through-hole resistor with a zipper in the tolerance stripe and the phone case bag in the foreground looks like a surface mount resistor with black body containing the number "103", and silver faux leather ends, with a zipper in one end and small D-ring attached to one side.

Debating whether to send a dictionary link to the AirBnB host who described their rental as "comfortable and homely." EDIT: thanks to [@sindarina, I now know that "homely" means something different on the other side of the Atlantic, and is only funny in American English. I've always loved the Hidden Scotland social media accounts, so I was thrilled when they contacted us and asked if they could interview us with regards to our work in drystone.

I thought I'd share the interview here as it gives a really good insight into drystone and our approach to the craft. So, if you would like to learn more about any of that, click on the link below.

I've had such a crap time recently and I so appreciate you all going out of your way to interact with me in these ways.
