We finished the last eight episodes of season 2 of yesterday.

Having their ship stolen when they were on the mining planet seemed a bit too contrived. They would have had better protections in place.

Turns out the thief is among a contingent of younger folks who basically work for a mob boss who doesn't even give them water unless they're productive enough. /1

A friend mentioned hearing about this exhibit, called "Defending America and the Galaxy: Star Wars and SDI", at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, CA, which is about 70 miles north of Disneyland (approx. 2 hour drive, give or take, depending on traffic).

The exhibit runs from March 15, 2024 to September 8, 2024, and timed-entry tickets (to the museum, not to the exhibit itself) are $25 each. 1/2

Finished the first eight episodes of season 2 of the other day.

The season starts with what reminded me of Indiana Jones 3, in which Omega learns that there are more important things than treasures.

And we learn exactly how brutal Rampart can be when he outright murders the clone captain who refuses to submit a false report in order to cover Rampart's ass with regard to the Batch still being alive. /1

My mission to have the ronto wrap meat with the garden wrap accompaniments failed. They wouldn't make the modification, so I just had the ronto-less wrap.

I hadn't really been interested in seeing , but then I heard various things about it, enough to convince me to go, so I went with friends last night.

Overall, I liked the movie, though I thought the pacing was off in parts. was terrific, and I enjoyed others in the film as well. /1

I'd only seen the rancor teeth flight accessories available inside previously but they can now be purchased at the marketplace, and you don't even need to buy the drinks you might not want. Tempting.

I was very fortunate to be able to attend this tribute to . What an amazing evening. And to top it off, they didn't pick this date for that reason, but today would have been Howard's 74th birthday.

The main guests were John Musker and Ron Clements, who, among other things, directed the animated films and , so they had a lot of stories to tell about Howard. /1

This picture was in response to a picture a man posted from being at a Pride parade. And that seems to be the reaction from so many, that being part of LGBTQIA+ and attending Pride events is just declaring who you're having sex with. But somehow that doesn't seem to apply to the heterosexual population? /1

For at this weekend, got to ride nine times over two days. Yay, meds! I saw all the new stuff within the first four rides, but then I noticed differences in the two starting scenes, probe droid and Vader. Not sure if those were there before. /1

I'd been wanting to watch but had been taking a break after bingeing the other animated shows, but time became more pressing with the announcement that season three would be coming soon. And because I'd gotten a minifigure of Omega in the 2023 , I decided she could keep me company while I watched new-to-me Star Wars. /1

We find out that Omega is a direct clone of Jango Fett, like Boba was.

I saw last night. I knew almost nothing about the film (which is based on a book) except that and were in it, and with the briefest one-line plot summary that I'd read, I was in.

It's a terrific movie, with a premise that I've not really seen as the main story and is more usually used as a side story. I'll admit it was distracting for me at times to hear Daisy Ridley with an American accent because I'm not used to it. 1/3

I saw last night, and I definitely had mixed feelings about it, especially given how much I love Godzilla Minus One. Late into the movie, I had a thought-shift in understanding that they're very different things. Godzilla Minus One is very much more of a psychological film delving into the trauma of having been on the receiving end of nuclear bombs. /1

I saw last night, and I had gotten my ticket before the nominations were announced yesterday morning. I knew a little bit about the setting of the story, but I was not prepared for exactly how disturbing it turned out to be. About 30 or 40 minutes into the film, I seriously considered walking out because I didn't know if I could handle seeing any more. There's a little part of me that regrets seeing the whole film, /1

Our first visit to was dinner on Easter Sunday. They had a few specials, and I had to try the truffled egg tarts. We did not expect the dish to be that large. The husband and I each had one, and then we ended up sharing the third to a new friend we made that night. Overall, I enjoyed the dish, and the tart was nice and flaky. /1

We also tried the new fried chicken bao at yesterday - crispy chicken bao (the chicken are crispy, not the bao), spicy katsu sauce and creamy slaw. Good texture on the bao, good flavor on the chicken with the little bit of spicy from the sauce tempered by the coolness of the slaw. Really enjoyed this dish too. And thanks for not calling it a bao bun!

Yesterday, I was lucky enough to see the last two shows of in , made all the more special because additional cast and friends & family of cast were in attendance at both shows. The energy was electrifying.

This picture is from the final curtain call from the last show. Everyone was in tears. What an amazing show it's been. I've loved the show since I first saw it in June of 2019 in the blazing sun on the Paradise Pier stage area in . /1
