Did you know that AAA now supports bicycles for their members? I hit a screw on my way home from work on Wednesday and got curious about this sort of thing after lugging my bike the last mile home with a flat tire. (Not fun, don't recommend)

It seems to vary by club/region but apparently I can call them to tow me/my bike as my usual service would cover for a car.

Erm, so when I open #Facebook at the moment it tells me I'm not connected to the internet and my computer slows all the way down and starts overheating.

It is only on my personal Facebook account - client accounts work fine.
The site won't work at all for me.

I tried downloading the Facebook messenger app but it says my login details are wrong (they are not).

Any ideas?

@alexisbushnell sounds like an ad running on facebook thats actually malware. Most likely for cryptocurrency mining.

@alexisbushnell Which ad blocker? There are a lot of crap ones out there. It's also possible it's new enough malware the adblocker isn't blocking it. Finally, it could just be broken javascript on Facebook's part that for some reason is only called for some accounts/situations.

Why in god's name would you EVER work for, attend, or send your kids to a college that has put a sniper on its roof and aimed it at student protestors? Like that should be IT for that institution. I would not go within a hundred yards of that institution if it were the last university on earth.

I’ve realized it’s physically impossible to demonstrate how to ride a bike when the only bike available is one for 8 year olds. So anyway, he took to it quite well. Sat on it, wore the helmet with no sensory issues, even peddled forward-ish some of the time and steered. Balancing is going to be hard to teach. He’s sort of kind of got the concept of “brakes” but I wouldn’t trust him to use them.

I did a lot of thinking and Autistic Bookshop needs to diversify it's income sources.

30% profit at an average of $1.97 on book sales means the store will never pay for itself.

So I created a merch collection to help.

I had some reading and writing themed designs already, so will add more later.

Google should eventually bring people to this once the store has built up some authority, which is mainly how a merch collection will help.

Does anyone know where to find a cast iron electric waffle maker? Ours has a tefflon coating and I would like to no longer consume those particles. While modern PTFE is better there are still health risks with what is still in there. I was once at a hotel that had a cast iron waffle maker that flips. Everyone I’ve aeen for sale is not cast iron. @neurovagrant The other possibility would maybe be the two factor totp functionality built into 1 Password, but that does integrate with their servers. I believe it’s zero knowledge though. sorry, in advance if thats not exactly what you were asking for.

broke nothing else but my sanity. after getting it all apart, i spent another 20 minutes trying to find a torx socket and adapter I dropped. I finally found it in the last place I looked.
To be clear, the tools fell as I pulled out from a hole (that's what she said) to loosen a bolt that holds the glass in the window track. I pulled that speak out not noticing the tools were stuck to the back of it.🙃

Definitely better, but none of my tools slide between the door skin and the glass to reach the other window adjusters.
While working on this I discovered that my little rolly stool's seat is breaking away from the shaft. (That's what she said.)
