Baristas, librarians, public defenders and auto workers shared their stories of organizing their workplaces, going out on strike and winning better working conditions and benefits.
Another theme was solidarity with the Palestinian people and the power of unions to stop business as usual to put an end to US support for the attack on Gaza and the occupation.
I just read over the agreement and this is fantastic! What a huge win so early into a campaign.
Of course, it will remain to be seen what comes out of the Advisory Committee on Investment Responsibility, but that is the process needed to eventually divest from militarism.
The Gaza Solidarity encampments have spread to the Auraria Campus in Denver. We brought water and food to the protesters. Rain clouds were forming when we left, but folks had a resolved spirit about them.
