If we're aiming for , we need to be developing strong relationships with the rest of Europe and beyond.

@simon_brooke I think one thing that Swinney will do is buy some time to settle things a bit. Get Forbes on board, align Westminster MPs to the Holyrood narratives, bring Cherry closer and get some strategic coherence re Indy. Run Scotland as a country with a foreign office that builds relationships.

Just back from the theatre, Macbeth with #RalphFiennes. What a performance by him, so physical and emotional. A wonderful cast and production. Shakespeare when done well, like this, is a joy

Happy 42nd Anniversary to Us!

t's hard to believe that this young couple is us, 42 years ago today. There's been a lot of water under all kinds of bridges since then, but we have sailed, paddled, rowed, poled and occasionally motored along them together all the way. Yes, we've had to use buckets to bail at times, but we always managed to stay afloat because we had each other. Thanks for all these wonderful years, @stevenkennard

Mostly spend my Sunday evenings watching #nfl but on #greycup day it’s #cfl. Probably won’t last the whole game due to time difference (11pm ko in Scotland) but hopefully get to halftime. #alouettes D seems strong but #bluebombers have been here before, have a powerful offence and it’s theirs to lose 🇨🇦

Had this lingering in the cupboard, largely unplayed over the past 30 yrs. got a clean up and it sounds fresh as a daisy. I think the depth and diversity of the sounds were off putting at the time for me but I’m older and wiser, I think!

Interesting. Government minister Andrew Bowie is the latest to join the ranks of those disseminating outright conspiracy theories on national television.

@fkamiah17 we’ve had 20mph across Edinburgh for a couple of years. Accidents and fatalities unsurprisingly down. It’s safer. Frustrating when you’re used to driving at 30mph but it’s hardly a major inconvenience. It’s not a war on the motorist, it’s promoting community health

#barclayjamesharvest passed me by in the 70’s but a mate introduced me to them a few years ago and I’m hooked. Seem to have the majority of their albums. Lovely melodic rock, well played and two songwriters that were different but somehow complimentary. #np #vinyl Live Tapes, double album recorded in 1976/77.
