hey all.

i didnt hear back from even one job application in the last month. even after that post looking for openings that got nearly 700 boosts. this was basically my last chance. and i found nothing. and i can't afford rent.

it's two weeks out, but it will take me a while to raise $1300. and that's a number that lets other bills fall to the wayside, including credit card bills.

i physically cannot pack up all of my belongings in time if push comes to shove. i have a disabled spouse and two dogs who need a place, too.

i know it's a big number. i know we're all struggling. and #mutualaid isnt the only avenue i'm pursuing. but we need help. please help us stay safe.

$0/100 replacement router so we can do our fucking work

My partner @raptorchildcreations and I have been working really hard to get self hosted solutions going for a number of web services, most importantly we're launching their art portfolio soon along with art sales & comms and we had gotten so damned close

Then Spectrum sent us a replacement modem and router after the old one finally kicked it. And this router... it fucking sucks. Y'all i have tried everything. I'm a tech person, I know what I'm doing, this thing is just fucked. Can't even re-flash it with OpenWRT. No way we can self host, let alone have a stable internet connection in our own home.

Spectrum does not want to replace, they want to send out a technician, which I already know is bullshit, and they want to bill us for it, which will cost as much or more than a new router anyway. So I just want to future proof myself from the beginning.

I don't have a specific model picked out. But I don't need something amazing, just something with 2.4ghz, 5ghz and some ethernet ports on the back that I can throw OpenWRT on.

Anything you can do is appreciated. We're kind of fucked over by this, pretty badly. #mutualaid

this country is such fucking bullshit. Indiana asked me to attend an in-person meeting at the unemployment office, i had to reschedule it because i have a job interview. they said it was fine, i could do it next week, i thought it was all squared away.

turns out theyre holding that against me as "not trying to find a job" and denying me a week of unemployment?!?! what the actual fuck?!?! i was relying on that for bills!?!?!?!?!
