Sometimes, you fight your ass off for hours trying to take down a boss.
You suffer all the equipment damage thanks to death after death, you yell at your monitor, strangle your controller, reallocate your skill points over and over in the hopes of stumbling on the right build that has the right combination of attacks and essence regeneration, finally get annoyed enough to look up a guide that leads you to a winning strategy, almost cry tears of triumphant joy, only to gape when the boss in question drops…No loot.
Morning Folks! Yesterday I transitioned over into World Tier III in #Diablo4 Season 4, and am starting to feel confident at an attempt to complete the World Tier IV dungeon.
Also noticed that Blizzard has both a free trial available on Battle.net and has the game on sale for $35. It is also part of Gamepass now for those folks. They seem to really want folks back.
Morning Folks! It took almost a year of tweaks, updates, and outright system reworks... but I feel like #Diablo4 is now in a really good place with a very fun core mechanical loop.
Yesterday Season 4 launched and this morning I talked a bit about my experiences so far.
a) po raz pierwszy w historii Diablo jara mnie gra barbarzyńcą
b) gra się o wiele przyjemniej niż na początku i łatwiej komponuje się ekwipunek a zatem i buildy dla takich casuali jak ja (co dobre!)
c) nie mogę się doczekać dalszego lvlowania i tym razem pogram nie jedną postacią a dwiema (czarką pod ogień)
Now that was fun. Not. Started another #diablo4 session after a long time. Played hardcore mode of course. Until my Lv19 character met a boss, and a bug. Character couldn‘t move, squirmed frozen to the floor, and all I could do was seeing my health drop, run out of health potions and die after a minute or so of helpless squirming. Shitty game.
@Mastokarl right? Like WHOSE idea was this. WHY is it in all of these games now. I guess Diablo games have kinda been online since early-ish though, I know a lot of people love 3 etc haha (I found it JUST ok), I dug 2 more and 1 most. I want another 1. Remaster and re-release Diablo 1! hahaha
@tod I bet - takes away that World of Warcraft type feel. And it must make the animations and such less distracting. They really amped that up with 3. 2 didn't have it and the first one DEFINITELY didn't haha. Can't believe you can do that, actually - I didn't realize!
Honestly, these fucking Treasure Goblins! I run and run, and then I get swarmed by some damned skeletons who get in my way and I’m trying to run after the goblin AND collect his little gold droppings, and I swear I can hear the little fucker giggling and then he just gets away with what I assume to be a huge amount of gold and anyway I guess what I’m saying is FUCK TREASURE GOBLINS.
@tod 🤣😂 the weird surprise loot is the best. After a while though, all your stuff is so good, you find less, of course.. We collected up the grim favors for the tree and my son was totally underwhelmed with what we got. He was like, that's IT?! 🤣 you win some, you lose some. Scrap haha
Hey #Diablo4 players… what are these green wisps? They seem to drop from certain enemies. I can “collect” them but they don’t appear to heal or buff my energy.
@tod@spytfyre ha! Yeah, I find that too, kinda. You can kick up the challenge level to Veteran, if you haven't already - I have. Gain experience faster, etc. And to always look out for areas that are too high leveled- you can easily walk into one of those and die instantly, as you may have already found haha. Kid & I skipped the story and went straight to the campaign/season stuff. That helps too.
@rootfs yeah, I agree with your sentiments for the most part. Been playing it for a while, even since the beta and I have a physical copy haha - but yeah I hate all the online required stuff. I haven't paid for anything aside from the game itself. No microtransactions. Never will, either. The online stuff is for updates, seasons etc. There's a lot of updates. Every Diablo since 1 I've just wanted to be 1, though. I just imagine 1 with IV graphics. 🤣
@mattontech I kinda feel the same. I really dig 4 but keep wishing it was just 1, where you go down in one place and knock out some monsters and stuff, and there's a fairly simple-ish endgame. But hey who am I hahaha
