@ru depends on the sender's country. In Germany, sending internationally costs about 35% more than local post, which is 1.10 € for a typical 20 g letter. The price is the same for all recipient countries. Quite cheap in comparison to Belgium, where I had to pay 9 € for three postcards to (neighbouring) Germany 😵💫
Saturday I bent all the letters in all the colors for this collaboration with Alicia Eggert. A little bigger than I remember them, but that is nice.
That turquoise wants to stain so much. I got it way hot and bombarded it about 6 times which seemed to help reduces the size of the stains. I think they didn't bake out the binder from the coating? None of the other colors had the staining.

I have no idea what it means to bombard them or what it is, that is staining, but I am very curious to learn more .

TIL: using an hot air station (the soldering kind) to heat #sealingWax works just fine, is not messy, doesn't require a table mostly free of burnable material, and can also help fixing mishaps like not having left enough wax on the paper by reheating it.
using an open flame is still much better for the whole ritual of sealing #letters, however.
but it's nice knowing that I have the two options.
TIL: usare una stazione ad aria calda (quelle per saldare elettronica) per scaldare la #ceralacca funziona, non fa casini in giro, non richiede un tavolo libero da materiale infiammabile e aiuta anche nel caso in cui non si sia messa abbastanza ceralacca sulla carta, dato che permette di riscaldarla.
