#POTUS Joe Biden was leading #Michigan's Democratic presidential primary contest Tues, as expected, w/the #ProtestVote against him pulling about 7% of the tally.
Biden had 88% of the vote, followed by 7% #uncommitted, 2% for Minnesota US Rep Dean Phillips & 2.4% for self-help guru Marianne Williamson, with 3% of precincts reporting.

Absent a significant change in the uncommitted Democratic vote, it looks like the threat to Biden's chances may well be less than feared (not that he shouldn't hear and heed the upset and anger).

"#Uncommitted” defeated #Biden in Dearborn, Dearborn Heights & Hamtramck, where #DemocraticVoters voiced their opposition to Biden’s support of #Israel in its #war against the militant group #Hamas in the #Gaza Strip, where nearly 30k #Palestinians have been killed in the nearly five-month-long conflict.
Sure, but the threat is that they'll sit out the general, or even vote for Trump.
Even without the explicit threat, the foreseeable impact of this movement is to diminish enthusiasm for Biden, encouraging potential voters to stay home or throw their vote away in protest.
Not disagreeing with your analysis: any attack on Biden only helps Trump, and Trump is far worse for Muslims.
@TruthSandwich I know that’s why we need to make sure people know the #Palestinian plight & death toll will be far worse w/ #Trump than #Biden & unfortunately those are #Americans only options. In this case choose the lesser evil folks, please, for all our sakes.
I wouldn't even call Biden a lesser evil. He's actively good, pushing back against Netanyahu's expansionist plans and brokering ceasefires to rescue hostages.
The whole "lesser evil" framework is based on the false assumption that only a candidate who's your ideal is "good" and that someone who can't win is somehow better than someone who can.

Ah. I didn’t. I understand voicing opposition to the issue at this time. And I believe they’re smart & will vote Biden in the general election because as I said not voting for anyone is essentially the same as voting for Trump who would be a million times worse on the same issue.
I don't believe they're smart. If they were smart, they wouldn't be undermining themselves by helping Trump this way.
And I don't believe that this idiocy is even intended to end as an empty gesture in the primaries. The whole point of doing this is to be able to threaten to throw the general towards Trump.
