Doesn't the Constitution guarantee freedom of movement? This law assumes all pregnant women want to abort their children. Also, how can the state tell a woman is pregnant before 5th month? I see why Republicans want to end the Constitution. It prevents them from making women prisoners in their own states. The next step is forced insemination.
@TexasObserver The intention of Abbott & his interstate co-insurrectionists seems to be pretty clear: Full on attack against the Reconstruction Amendments.
Fourteenth Amendment, Section 1, Clause 2:
"No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States..."
@TexasObserver So do women in texas have to take a pregnancy test to drive on texas roads? I will begin capitalizing texas again when they learn to behave.

And we do not have the moral will as a country to do so.

@TexasObserver there is no way to enforce a law like that. It's just a bunch of assholes trying to enforce their will on others. This kind of thing has gone on since abortion was originally legalized. Basically just harassment.
@TexasObserver isn't this a violation of interstate commerce, which usually resides with the federal govt, not states? Is this being challenged up to SCOTUS? Allowing this could open a floodgate of stuff I don't think anyone wants to deal with, like how this precident could affect even things conservatives like, like interstate gun rights.
