It's not as good as ChatGPT but as a demonstrator that a model can run on a laptop, for experiments etc i like GPT4ALL. It's easy to install. Also it's opensource both model and data. @ErikJonker I’ve tried it out for a while and as you say there’s still a gap between state-of-the-art chatgpt. But man, It’s running on a laptop and you get total control over deployment and privacy issues. It won’t take long until things catch up.
@mindfulzombie ...it also shows that maybe organisations can make themselves a bit less dependent from large platforms like OpenAI/Microsoft, Google, Amazon in the future , if they invest in own infrastructure, models etc. The way to go for governments at least in my view.
