We rely on #predictions and models of the world, and mostly use our observations to merely patch the errors in those models. We expected computer intelligence to be like that, and since expectations are the only thing we are capable of at the root, we believed it. We are exactly like the LLM’s though in one regard: Everything starts and ends with predicting what comes next.
