@davemark Just not for me. If I were sitting down with another human, eating a meal, I just feel I wouldn’t want that experience to be mediated through this device. I would probably feel the same if they were staring at smartphones. Just my feelings and no judgment on the folks in this picture. I also can’t imagine the physical challenge of eating and drinking though an entire meal wearing any kind of headset. Sipping coffee while I’m working wearing the Vision Pro is a bit uncomfortable.
@stevegio I hear you. Personally, I think that feeling will go away when we get to the point where we’re just wearing glasses and the technology gets really small. Might be a while. 😀

@Danathar I don’t know if stunts is quite the right word, but I do agree this is a combination of showing off and exploring. But if you watch some of the videos of people wearing this gear in public, check out the reactions of the people around them. Combination of curiosity and surprise. No hate though.
@davemark Well, also WHERE they are wearing them in public. The reactions of people walking around is gunna be WAY different in San Francisco than other places. Personally speaking, I'm excited for it, in the same way I was for first gen Iphone. This has a way to go before the average person gets one though.
@davemark@Danathar Spend some time around teens and this type of social interaction is already here. Kids sit at the same table and FaceTime each other and bring friends in who aren’t with them at the restaurant or coffee shop so they can all talk. The thought of my kids’ generation sitting around a table without tech as part of the experience seems to be fading fast. They’re already seeing a chunk of the world through the iPhones so this won’t feel like a huge leap to them (except $ to get it)
