Foolishly I did not expect the deluge of "COP28 was a roaring success" articles that have now appeared.
All of them filled with caveats and mitigating factors on why, according to their oh-so learned writer, not excluding fossil fuels from the future, is actually a huge win for mankind #cop28#copOut#ClimateChange
@ronanmcd It seems like, judging #baerbock in this case, the political participants must absolutely claim success. That non-binding clauses are nothing is irrelevant.
Maybe most political conferences are like this: more of a exclusive theme-club than a workgroup.
