Extremely economical Chinese home cooking
- ‘dried goods’ last a really long time
- you can get normal quality (Chinese groceries) or splurge on super high quality (Chinatown ‘medical’ shops)
- you can make lots of different meals with the same set of things
- the water you use to soak mushrooms becomes a vegetarian stock you can use in anything
Today I’m soaking the stuff I need to cook my favorite ‘fuzhuk’ stew
