I’m so sick of all these people that think they’re gamers. No, you’re not. Most of you are not even close to being gamers. I see these people saying “I put well over 100 hours in this game, it’s great!” that’s nothing, most of us can easily put 300+ hours in all our games. I see people who only have a Nintendo Switch and claim to be gamers. Come talk to me when you pick up a PS4 controller then we be friends.

Also DEAR ALL WOMEN: Pokémon is not a real game. Animal Crossing is not a real game. The Sims is not a real game. Mario is not a real game. Stardew valley is not a real game. Mobile games are NOT.REAL.GAMES. put down the baby games and play something that requires challenge and skill for once.

I'll just be over in @GirlGames playing my non-games because I'm apparently not a gamer. btw I only own a switch but I did play my brother's ps4.

I only play the most hardcore of games like Pretty Princess Party, Hello Kitty Kruisers, and Love Nikki Dress Up Queen.

    While I agree with the sentiment of "anyone can be a gamer", I wouldn't necessarily say that simply "playing a game" makes you a gamer, anymore than "watching a movie" makes you a film buff, or "playing a single round of golf" makes you a "golfer". These are descriptive labels for people into particular hobbies. it's okay to interact with a hobby without being very involved in it. Some people play games but aren't gamers, and that's okay.

    IMO: if you're playing games regularly, are interested in games, are buying games or putting money into the hobby, or following gaming news, you're a gamer. It's not a high bar, it's just "you're into games".

    My mom plays candy crush but she is not a gamer, nor would she call herself one. But some girl who spends a ton of time playing love nikki, or buying every otome game? definitely a gamer.
