@atomicpoet Yeah, but Mastodon is hard to join because you have to be smart enough whereas Bluesky is only hard to join because you have to be in with the right crowd.
You can be as dumb as you like on BlueSky, and it don't matter as long as you're popular.

@atomicpoet id suggest G+ would have been an excellent analog for Ravenclaw, but like Ravenclaw, G+ never figured out how to socialize well outside of school. shrugs
Note- I consistently sort into Ravenclaw, and loved G+, so I’m outing myself here.
@atomicpoet while we all have a nice time here on Mastodon, figuring out how to build a more just society, while giving each other mutual support, here in our client that’s actually thinking about how to amplify the good, while taking reasoned approaches to mitigating the bad.

I've seen so many beautiful pictures and funny pictures and memes here. I see a lot of posts just there to make us laugh, and they do make me laugh.
I could run a music game. There was one over on Twitter, and I filled in when the regular host was away. I post a line from a song, and you have to post the next line.
@atomicpoet This one bothers me quite a bit. The ability to get your organization to modify DNS is so massively restricted, when compared to a simple file in .well-known or something.
You will absolutely never, ever, ever see something like @aoc.house.gov, for example. Never going to happen -- did I already say ever?
