Public service announcement, just in case anyone had forgotten: Covid is still out there and getting it still sucks. I didn’t wear a mask on a busy ferry last week and I am absolutely paying for it now by being stuck inside/sick/frustrated and having to cancel and rearrange all sorts of fun things this week. If you’re in a crowded space, FFP2 or N95 masks are definitely still worth wearing! #Covid#masks#LearnFromMyMistakes

I went on the ferry this week sans masque, sat in a quiet area but then someone a few tables away started coughing. I got up and moved as did other people. Certainly the ppl who know they aren't feeling well should be wearing a mask. I'll wear one next time.
@helenczerski Sorry you caught it, hope you’re better soon. I still mask indoors all the time. And I’m in Flori-duh, where Covid has been very bad but nobody wears masks any more. We don’t eat inside restaurants - if there’s no outside seating, we get takeout. #istillwearamask
@helenczerski I get the weird side-eye when I wear a mask in many situations.And I admit, I am erratic about it. Nevertheless, sad to hear you got it; seriously hope it's not the long version.
@helenczerski I love wearing my mask. I might continue wearing it forever. I especially appreciate it when people look at me like I’m the crazy one for not wanting Covid & they can’t see me sticking my tongue out at them. 😝

@helenczerski not seeing any masks anywhere any more, but I wore mine on the ferry last weekend and it did me no harm. Other indoor places I'm less inclined to remember now but I guess I am tending to avoid anywhere crowded.

I caught it for the first time (yes, no mask either) in the week before Christmas and even for one of the later variations, it was horrible - wouldn't wish it on anyone.
@helenczerski ugh. Really need that booster, but i am taking meds with side effects that aren't that pleasant. But I definitely need to do it! Get well soon, hopefully it's just making you miserable and not overly sick!

I wear an N95 in indoor public spaces but I'm probably in the 10% minority. Interestingly, when I go into Vietnamese or Chinese stores, the ratio is reversed.

(I’ve been getting weird looks for months now wearing a FFP3 on the train and in shops. But I figure it’s going to be that one time that I don’t when it’ll get me.)
