@RickiTarr Yeah, I was reading this puzzled. Like, how does TIME not know that Chernobyl is in the Ukraine? Yeesh, reporting is getting sketchier and sketchier.
@timbuckto@RickiTarr TIME is no longer much of a news outlet; the current owners bought the name and run pieces by various writers, but it isn't what it was.
@RickiTarr I'm actually impressed. Chernobyl is probably the most (in)famous place in Ukraine, even more so than Kyiv. Like, how does one not know that?
@RickiTarr Perhaps, although call me a grumpy old man but I'm not sure that's a good excuse really. The Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings happened a long time before I was born, but I still know they're cities in Japan.
@RickiTarr can't find it on Time anymore, but it looks like the article was archived here. The last quote is a person basically saying "Yeah Chernobyl happened here and now this. Both." And then the person slapped this title on it lol
