Ouch! Brings back memories of my own accident in 2004 even down to the "Arrgh!"
In my case, I was riding a little slower, and the Mondeo driver was parked opposite the junction he pulled into.
Sadly, my tibia and fibula were broken in so many places that the doctors recommended amputation. After a couple of weeks of deliberation and with my leg smelling increasingly unpleasant, this is what I opted for.

Just one of those things really. The bike, in this case, Fazer 1000, was repairable. Me less so. Things worked out well, though, and I'm still working. At least for a year or so until I retire.
Gave up motorbikes but started cycling a couple of years ago once I realised I could cycle with a prosthetic limb.
@kev I got my first cbt more than 10 years ago. Renewed it this year. I still don't own a bike. The fear from watching clips like yours just stops me from riding. I trust myself but I trust another road users.
@nativebreed Yeah, if that kinda video scares you, riding a bike probably isn’t for you. For me, while it’s obviously a concern, the joy of biking far outweighs the risk of having an accident.
@kev Hm. I think I've seen that footage on a YouTube channel few years ago. Good that you got all well after the crash, despite the fracture and the pain. I smiled when the van driver got fined. Too low fine, though!
