@Jyoti Reminds me of the Stop the War marches pre-Iraq invasion, when the number was over 1 million and sources like the BBC were spoon fed similar low figures by the Met et al.
@Jyoti Me too! Probably the first time I saw with my own eyes that the reality of a situation wasn’t being reported truthfully (that and well, pretty much everything else to do with the Middle East at that time).
I would say they're actually failing. Because millions of us have been marching and we know the media has been hiding our protests. And we tell our friends and families.
Some people do still believe that the BBC, Guardian or whoever are somehow at least trying to be impartial.
The current Misinfo War unmasked will disabuse them of that belief.
In addition, the Vichy western media largely failed to broadcast the powerfully forensic #SouthAfrican#IsraelGenocide presentation to the International Court of Justice (#ICJ)!
Unsurprisingly, elements of the emotionally-charged but “light-on-legal-arguments” Israeli presentation was widely featured.
Have you tried to find helicopter footage of the London march? It's VERY difficult, I guess cos it shows the true size. Here's a still I grabbed from a Sky News report but this hardly does it justice. And it doesn't show the length of this march at all.
Seriously, the fact they don't report marches of this size but some celeb's nose job makes the front page shows it's all just bread and circuses.
