@mekkaokereke Makes me miss the predictability of Seattle for 6 months of the year: high around 55, low around 45, probably drizzling at any given moment.

Now back in TX, the only predictability is late summer ☀️ 🔥 🌡️

@mekkaokereke I moved to CA 10 years ago; and the last two years Jan/Feb feels almost like monsoon-season.

Here's to hoping it at least mitigates the fires and droughts...

@mekkaokereke The economics of this mean that you do only ever need to go out in a black t-shirt and if it’s colder, that’s the day you buy a new jumper or coat. To make it work, never buy one any other time.

@mekkaokereke when I moved to California someone told me "Out here you'll get two weeks in the summer when it's too damn hot and two weeks in the winter when it's too damn wet, and the rest of the year will be 60-75 degrees and sunny." And they haven't been drastically wrong in the 13 years I've been here.

They failed to account for "Two weeks of too damn smokey" but I'll give them a pass on that.

Me: “It’s so true that there’s no bad weather, only bad clothing.”

My brain: “Mm. Let’s see how smug you are when it’s 116F/47C and everything’s on fire in August.”
