@sjvn "Fun" personal fact: during a break-in, they stole my DVD's, monitors, laptop, everything else EXCEPT my PC that still had the cables in a big bundle attached to each other and around a table-leg (the leg was shaped as an inverted T and the table was on top)
2 of the cables still attached were the VGA-cables. So yes, 2 VGA cables prevented the theft of my PC at the time.
So I've never ever complained too much about these connectors since 😉
@sjvn We are still finding them in the environment. Unscrewing them is a PITA. I make carry a flathead with me whenever I get a monitor not working ticket.
@sjvn The strain on that cable makes the old sysadmin in me cry. At least it's not 10Base-2 network cable upstream from the majority of the LAN (if you know, you know)
