snooggums, Network TV always cancelled tons of shows every year, this is nothing new.
Poayjay, Streaming should be the golden age for more niche content. We should be experiencing a boom in lower budget shows not trying to become the next huge thing. Instead the media conglomerates are trying to buy lottery tickets with ultra bland general interest shows. It makes me sad.
Skavau, That's debateable. If this was the case then every single new TV show would be a cop show, medical show, legal show or some forgettable sitcom.
There's way more speculative fiction genre than there ever has been.
Also, there's a huge amount of international content.
