Shohreh Aghdashloo. She was an actress in Iran before she moved to the US. The only other role of hers I’m familiar with is Dina Araz on the fourth season of 24. I think she also did a voice role for Archer. She’s got a lot of acting credits, though.
But yeah, she does play some badass hardasses lol.
Seems unusual that an actress would achieve popularity only with age, mostly it is the reverse
Kathryn Joosten decided to get into acting at age 53 and played all sorts of memorable character roles until her death in 2012.
