Until now, development has proceeded pretty loosely - we work on whatever seems cool at the time. This is fine but if we collaborate on a decision about priorities then perhaps we'll all be pulling in the same direction a bit more often. If the decision is made in public with all stakeholders, perhaps we'll get some buy-in....
I find my experience here has been mostly solid, so I think you mostly have your priorities right. It's also fun to see experimentation with new features every now and then, so I'm not sure I would even like to see a shift towards focusing only on important stuff.
Better handling of video content #147 (I am also interested if PieFed can integrate better with PeerTube, for example an option to browse PeerTube channels)
"Announce does not federate properly with Lemmy" #22
I think there's a lot of potential in better integration with services outside of the Threadiverse, and this is something Lemmy has been notoriously bad at (and its developers seemingly uninterested in). Not that PieFed should become like Kbin and serve two separate functions, but there's a lot to be achieved in both ends by making the services more interoperable. There might be some sort of place for both boosts and hashtags, while leading @mentions might sometimes be justifiably hidden. More than important I guess I would find it fun.
As for what's urgent, ensuring core functionality and GDPR compliance seems like a fair priority.

Soon. Gotta go do real world stuff for a few hours then I'll need a few hours to research and compose the notes and epilogue before I can upload it. It'll need a couple hours cooking on the server after that.
Here's what I can tell you about exhibit #126 of 126.
It's the only copy of this in the whole wide world with me looking the past 5 years. No one has ever seen this before online.
There are 35 copies in an edited form kept in secure facilities in 3 countries.
I'm halfway done the final exhibit of my great big graphics project, #126 of 126.
It feels weird. So weird.
I'm about done widebanding some of the rarest stuff on Earth, a Mission From God level amount of sheer luck having covered me while it was done and now it's ending and my home is probably going away because some rich folk want it and I got nothing so when my home goes away that's pretty much it for me, it feels like thanks for the labor, now the really bad times are coming for you.
Criminy. I've got a quarter of the final exhibit of my great big graphics project already in the can after a single day's work.
Eep.
#125 was such a grind, such a dog's breakfast I'd be doing phenomenal to get a couple of images a 12 hour day. #124 was a slog, too but #126 even with the formatting changes is a total doddle in comparison.
I might actually have a draft this week. And be done. I'll have saved all of it and given it to everyone.
Did you know if you eat breakfast late enough you can skip lunch completely?
Got the first 5 images of 48 done on exhibit #126 of 126 in my great big graphics project, the final one.
So this dataset here with me, the only known complete one, is the only one left of the 126 that cannot yet be accessed or searched without physically going to 1 of 35 secure locations in 3 countries in person.
5 years work.
So when I had one-of-a-kind items, I shared them for free with the world.
The notes need revision, oops, sorry, but I won't be able to fix them until later tonight.
The work itself, exhibit #125 of 126 of my great big graphics project, keyword Swan Song, came out better than I could ever have hoped 3 weeks ago when I started it. It looks fucking amazing. I done good, folks. I done good.
I set out to create the definitive #125 and by gum, I did it too.
You can find it in the usual spot. Hoo did it clean up nice. :D
All done. Notes updated and fixed a formatting glitch.
Tomorrow I'll start exhibit #126 of 126. It'll be 48 images but it'll be a bit of a challenge to Mysteron so maybe a week or two to do.
But it does let me do an image count on all the primary exhibits in my great big graphics project.
Right now, with exhibit #125 of 126 in the can, I've created 11,952 images of the primary exhibits. So all told the total for these for the entire project will be 12,000 images even.

Sorry about the late start, there are 72 hrs until storm conditions, and I'm up a ladder replacing siding against the clock. There were only 12 hours of daylight, I had to go right to work.

I don't think I know anything by the artist for the 2000 and you got it first clue? I heard the artist name before

Let's decide on some development priorities
Until now, development has proceeded pretty loosely - we work on whatever seems cool at the time. This is fine but if we collaborate on a decision about priorities then perhaps we'll all be pulling in the same direction a bit more often.
