Wouldn't it be nice if a big, strong man showed up to solve your problems?
That's the fantasy at the core of "Protective Love": Ari can't get rid of a creepy drunk hitting on her at a dive bar, Theo wades in to help, and sparks fly.
A simple premise, but the leads have great chemistry, and the story has a sizzling climax. It was great fun to narrate!
i'm now less interested in film criticism as a thing i participate in myself on an academic level, favoring #VideoGames and #AudioFiction, but horror is still one of my biggest passions
It always amazes me the vocal influences that show up when I'm in the sound booth.
Maggie Adams writes strong supporting characters in "The Trouble With Angels as befits a romantic comedy, so the opening includes the world's worst first date with a character who might be a tiny bit inspired by Phil Silvers!
My experimentation with #kbin continues. I'm reminded this is an early release of the software, so I'm not expecting perfection. Nor am I expecting my experiments to all make sense. But I shall try.
The one I'm focusing most of my current attention on is https://kbin.social/m/audiofiction, which does what it says on the tin. Ostensibly, it's for fans of #AudioFiction, in which I include #Audiobooks, #AudioDrama, #FictionPodcast content, and more. But I suspect a lot of creators will be there too. Which is fine by me. The more, the merrier! So long as we're on topic. (I can see the need for many different topics too!)
In a few hours, I'm signing out of my Reddit account and won't sign back in until Wednesday morning. I'm mostly active in the r/audiodrama sub, and I'll definitely miss it.
To that end, I created /m/audiofiction (or do I need to put in a full URL, like https://kbin.social/m/audiofiction?) to give me something to do while I'm not on Reddit because of Rexit. With luck, others from there will join me. And if not, I'll still learn a lot.
The ultimate goal is, I think, to spin up a kbin instance for all flavors of #AudioFiction, like #Audiobooks, #Fiction Podcast, and #Audiodrama content, with lots of magazines for topics, shows, creators, and more!

Greetings, all! I'm Evo, long-time dabbler in the Fediverse and heavy consumer of #AudioFiction, particularly in #podcast form.
I created an account here to kick the tires of kbin, with the goal of running an instance (gulp!) that's dedicated to #FictionPodcast, #Audiobook, and #AudioDrama content. I'm part of an active +250K member subreddit and am making contingency plans as Rexxit is underway.
