1100 words for Sun today, and that was a bit of a surprise. I was pretty wiped after getting home today.
I also watched a webinar that'll help me promote my books better. I'm excited.
On the other hand, I didn't fiddle with my store today. Just had no brainspace left to handle DNS settings. It will happen, and soon, I'll be able to drop some links for you.
One more office day, and the week will be nearly over. That feels good.
Also spent more time on my store, and all the Winds books are up there already. That makes me very happy. Hope to add the Pillars tomorrow (now that the system works, that is easy), and the Wolves will be next.
I'll share links soon, I'm just not quite ready yet. But I'm happy I finally have a way to sell directly to readers. Independence from tech bros is becoming more important.
I wrote 400 words for Sun this morning, and that feels good. I'm finally getting them moving, even though Sun is still grumpy and driving himself deeper into misery, the idiot.
I spent some more hours setting up my store, connecting it to BookFunnel and setting up the first books.
It's definitely not ready to see the light yet, there's still much to fix, and I want at least all the Winds and Pillars up there before I share a link.
#WritersCoffeeClub 2.18: Do you suffer for your art? Backaches, headaches, writers' cramps, etc.?
Well, I spend my days in front of a computer, and that isn't exactly healthy.
But I'm not in pain. I set up my desk, chair and computer so that I'm not. I use a keyboard tray to avoid getting carpal tunnel again. I have computer glasses.
I hope I can keep writing for many more years, without any major problems.
Slow day, managed 400 words this morning. Ran my mastermind, got some admin stuff done and then basically crashed.
I'm making Sun stew on something that will blow up in his face, eventually. To a degree. That's fun to set up, but I still need to move them deeper into trouble.
Mostly reading, some time playing my favorite game, Titan Quest. Started a new mule character. Yes, I hoard things in the game. (Wanna play with me? I can outfit you.)
Chatted with my sister and my dad.
Fought off existential dread.
Looking forward to sweet dreams and writing tomorrow.
No writing. The wall in my mind did not come down. Yes, I had the file open. sigh
I did read more romance and really enjoyed how the author weaves her stories together in her own world. Fun jokes, like cameos and song lyrics showing up in both series.
I can't see any overlap between my worlds, but even so, that was a fun thing to see.
I hope I can break down my block this weekend. I want to write Sun.
Wrote 400 words for Sun today, and I am very happy with that. Hope many more will follow this weekend.
I did get some downloads from Writer Brain for book #9, Spirit Sings. That was a bit of a motivation, as well. Things will get a little more complicated than I thought, but I like the added layer. (Yes, vague, sorry.)
Very tired tonight, will read a bit and crawl into bed.
Integrating notebooks. I make a habit of periodically reviewing the snippets of thoughts that I’ve jotted down over the years — editing, revising & releasing ideas/concepts. The Muse sometimes sends messages we don’t fully comprehend in the moment, which is why I capture whatever I can.
Slow day. Day job at the office, groceries on my way home, reading yet another book of the series I'm binging.
Finding it hard to let go of Sky - want to see him soar. But I need to shift over into Sun's mind and tell his story. He's very different from Sky.
For one, he doesn't really have a good grip on his powers thanks to a certain relationship in his House. For two, he's much more upset that he admits even to himself. Fun stuff.
