Gute Nacht, Freunde.

Wrote 400 words for Sun this morning.

Ran my Mastermind - always a joy to exchange information and create motivation!

Then I played Valheim. Good fun, and I am realizing how much I have learned in the last two months. I can now throw up a basic house in minutes, for example.

Also wrote the Blurb for Sun Burns so I can order a cover soon. Want to see it? (Let me know and I'll share the blurb tomorrow.)

Definitely a good day.

Gute Nacht, Freunde.

Wrote 700 words for Sun this morning. Survived the office - chatted for quite a bit with a colleague who is starting a new job next week. Will probably not see her again...

Played Valheim, gradually easing my way into the Swamp (getting killed fairly regularly there).

Also started proofing a revised version of her book for a friend (yes, you can hire me). Oh, and I cooked food for myself.

Most of this feels good.

Gute Nacht, Freunde.

Today, I wrote 500 words for Sun. They are almost safe - at least that's what they think. (They are wrong...)

Of course, I also played Valheim. Managed to grow my first turnips and unlocked a new item that in turn unlocked a bunch of new cooking recipes. And voilá, my health and stamina get better! (Do not ask what goes into the sausage.)

It's been a good day.

Gute Nacht, Freunde.

A good day.

Still a lot of Valheim, but less disappointing. Twink is very carefully exploring the Swamp and finding new - scary! - creatures. Need to learn new skills. (Blocking and mace)

I did open the file for Sun, read through the last chapter, edited a bit - and fizzed out.

But I also cooked a meal, took Valheim breaks and had fun. Slow change is better for me.

Gute Nacht, Freunde.

Another day with a lot of Valheim - but I finished setting up the emails for my autoresponder and got some coaching for it, too. Feels very good.

And then my friend joined me in Valheim and we had an epic adventure befitting Vikings - battling a troll, graydwarves and skeletons at night in a storm. We ended up victorious and with plans for the next adventure in place. It will take some prep - and then we'll face the next big boss.

Gute Nacht, Freunde.

I spent the day in Valheim.

No Nazis, no dire climate news, no wars. It's a troubled world, yes, but still a paradise in a way.

Twink is getting ready to face the Swamp. Main (who is a lot less accomplished) had fun with her pal. We killed trolls (nothing new, but it is getting easier). We will also explore fishing.

Tomorrow is a new day.

Gute Nacht, Freunde.

I didn't anything for Sun today, but I wrote autoresponder emails as part of creating new subscriber workflows. It's fascinating how much one can do that way.

I also played a lot of Valheim, and I have a huge success: Twink killed the Elder.

That took 30 min of firing fire arrows, running, ducking and taking out greydwarves along the way. But I didn't die once, and I count THAT as a huge win.

Gute Nacht, Freunde.

Slow day today. Office was annoying and made me want to jump out of my skin. Walks were nice, met a friend in the park. Saw a raven on my way home - getting into a fight with my crowly friends.

A constant, low-grade headache made it very unfun to focus on anything... well, I managed some Valheim (Twink got chased by trolls). That can make me forget about anything else.

So I'm off to bed fairly early, hoping that tomorrow will be better.

Gute Nacht, Freunde.

Had a fairly good day. Wrote a few hundred words for Sun (I suppose I dread shoving him into the next trouble), survived the office day.

I started on fixing my email integrations (that was a bit of a shock, to find out they no longer work) and I made it through a few chapters of Newsletter Ninja.

Then I played Valheim, and what was meant to be some fun exploring turned into a full-out disaster. Got it fixed, eventually... 😬 😂

Gute Nacht, Freunde.

Making slow progress in small steps. Sorting through a stack of papers I had no energy to deal with. For once, cooking something today.

Reading another chapter of the Newsletter Ninja. Actually hopping on FB to show my presence there.

Lots of Valheim. Preparing for the boss fight, and also getting distracted by exploring and hauling home ore. Not that I really need it...

Not in a good space right now.

It’s a gorgeous day to take Gladys out for a spin.

Gute Nacht, Freunde.

Anxiety got the better of me today.

Which led to some intense cleaning (which is rather unlike me), and a lot of Valheim.

I did start reading Newsletter Ninja (again), and I'm telling myself that having to redo all the automations and integrations with MailerLite is a chance to make them much better. Right?

Dictionary.com laid off all its lexicographers this month.

Presumably to replace them with AI. (My opinion.)

Sadly, thesaurus.com and dictionary.com are two of my most important resources when writing. I will look for alternatives now, because they basically decided to stop being a good service.

Enshittification is spreading at an ever increasing rate. It makes me sad. I thought we were headed towards a good future. Instead, it's turning... brown. 😬

Gute Nacht, Freunde.

Unhappy with MailerLite (they killed all my sign-ups) and with my sales. Also, the newsletter didn't do what I had hoped for...

That means I have my work cut out for me next week - and that made me play Valheim, because it is Sunday. Right? Right!

And I have Sun who is hoping they could make it to safety... won't happen, not now.

Let the next week be good!

Gute Nacht, Freunde.

Today was Valheim day. My friend had time to play, and that was really, really good. Went exploring by boat.

No writing for Sun, but I wrote a blog post and sent out my newsletter. I think that counts as writing, right?

A very good day, and I'm just happy.

Oh! I found a little statue of a mule and took a picture of it with a certain book. :D

Gute Nacht, Freunde.

Caught up with some Valheim. That feels very good - brain is totally calming down. I do hope that writing will be possible tomorrow.

I'll slide back into work space tomorrow, very early. Not sure how well that'll go, but I'll try to schedule some writing time, as well.

I'm discovering clocks that haven't shifted automatically. Will definitely check my alarm clock.

See you all tomorrow.

278 Did your MC or SC have any childhood pets?

Sun did not. Not a chance. No Priest would have allowed any kind of pet - the Winds and Pillars are supposed to work. Pets would be a distraction.

Not sure about Laisal. I think she might have had a pet, maybe a bunny, maybe a little dog. She likes animals.

I'm back.

The last two days were busy, and today, I spent most of my time traveling. I'm finally home again.

Saturday was my sister's big birthday party, and it was great. I got to know a few more people. Sinking roots into my future home area. (And childhood home area.)

Sunday, we went to the spring festival of the local agricultural museum. I met an old friend and former neighbors of mine. More roots. That was... humbling.

A great end to my vacation.
