Precisely. I love people, but they’re exhausting. Energy allocation is key for me, and I’m highly discerning when it comes to who gets how much of my energy. Also: I’m skilled at interacting with people, but it’s exceedingly depleting. Afterwards, I require hours of solitude to recharge/recover. Heaven for me is being alone parallel w someone else. Intersecting orbits, but distinct.

@dangillmor if I had to choose between Joe Kahn and a bear, I’d choose the bear.

His perspective of a white, heteronormative man places him at the top of society’s pecking order. He can conduct this interview safely ensconced in the theoretical buffer his privilege affords. Democracy is a hypothetical to him. Yes, he claims to represent the Fourth Estate, and defends his paper as a bulwark, but he’s absolutely aware of his ability to put the thumb on the scale of public opinion.

    His use of “playing Russian Roulette” is a bit on the nose. It’s also indicative of the narcissistic “family annihilators” who choose to kill everyone, including themselves. People like Barr, Trump et al would rather destroy a country rather than provide for basic human needs for all of its constituents. They’re GHOULS.
