As Russia’s own mercenary army wheels into Russia and possibly into Moscow itself, we’re not fully there yet, but this is an interesting result for only 5.6%.
[1] I'm not even sure what to call it. It's not actually the military doing it, it's a commercial/#mercenary#paramilitary. Officially their aim is to #topple the leadership of the #military, not the #civilian#government of the country, but I'm sure #Putin doesn't see it that way.
... and that is he's trying to get the people under #Shoigu and the senior #generals to attempt a coup of the military leadership and the #Ministry of #Defence .
He believes the senior leadership of the military and the defence staff are #political appointees and #incompetent#cowards. Getting the people under them to rise up and throw them out might seem like a way to get the #war in #Ukraine back on track?
Or perhaps he really has #soured on the war, and it is a #coup attempt.
In an interview, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg calls on Germany to quickly increase its defense spending and says he expects there will be a debate soon on whether to supply Ukraine with fighter jets.
