The Democratic Party Pizzaburger Theory of Electioneering is: half the electorate wants a pizza, the other half wants a burger, so we'll give them all a pizzaburger and make them all equally dissatisfied, thus winning the election:

The oviraptor at first appeared to be a juvenile of a much larger species, but fossil testing revealed it to be an adult.

The child credit is phased in, but corp. breaks are immediate & substantial.

Dems control the Senate, but they don't have enough votes to actually pass legislation that'd benefit Americans. And some Dem Senators are .

The numbers on this proposed tax deal reveal that the business tax credits are 5 times the value of the changes to the child tax credit. This sets a precedent of a cheap trade, causing problems for when the CTC is scheduled to be cut in half after 2025.

Some are backing the GOP plan:

Spx for Omidyar NWK FND advised TDB “to reach out to American Compass directly for comment on the pro-worker elements they were able to advocate for related to Project 2025.”

A useful stalking horse for getting the R Party to become more pro-worker & progressive on economic policies -might be persuasive *if it weren’t for the fact that -based on Project 2025 -evidence of: anti-worker & plutocracy-friendly as any other RW think tank. https://www.thenation.com/article/politics/project-2025-liberal-donors/#respond

The Biden Administration wants to change that. Biden's Acting Labor Secretary is , and she's very good at her job. Last spring, she forced west coast dockworkers' bosses to cough up the contract they'd stalled on for a year, with 8-10% raises for every worker, owed retroactively:

Ther's lots of ways to slice the coalition, but one important axis are the self-styled adults-in-the-room, who declare themselves realists, and the party's left wing, who are dismissed as idealists who don't understand politics: neither how to win elections nor how to wield power.

The GOP has taken massive swings - seizing the courts, dismantling the administrative states, stacking elections, and siphoning off trillions for its donors:

The Democrats don't need to copy the GOP's abandonment of material policy for ideological hardlines. Indeed, it shouldn't: when they go low (culture war bullshit), we go high (delivering real benefit to voters).

Looking objectively at the Dem field, @RobertKennedyJr is a MUCH better general election candidate than Biden.

has high net favorables, independent and cross-party appeal, and would trounce any Republican.

The establishment claim that Biden is more electable is absurd.
