For a century, dams on the Truckee River have blocked endangered cui-ui and Lahontan cutthroat trout from reaching spawning ground upstream of Pyramid Lake. A new fish passage will help open up 65 miles of the river to migration.
Lithospheric drips (a relatively cold and dense mass of lithosphere that sinks vertically into the upper mantle) have been identified using geophysical methods in the Great Basin and now in northern Borneo.
