One way of understanding #KemiBadenoch's week is to see it as part of a leadership campaign by the #Tory's 'ant-woke, black woman' beloved of the ageing white party members (the FT's description).
Realising that post-truth #politics served Boris Johnson well & that she can count on the right wing press to muddy the waters on 'facts', I was about to say #RishiSunak should watch out, but perhaps (as so often) when things are failing, its time to hand over the reins to a #woman to take the fall?
@Geri
It's little wonder #KemiBadenoch was absent from #PMQs today.
She now has serious questions to answer about her honesty on no fewer than THREE different topics.
#KemiBadenoch is getting very confused... now it seems while she claims to be in trade negotiations with #Canada, the Canadians don't agree: surely you need two sides to actually negotiate?
Having broken of talks on January 25th, Badenoch then told the HoC some days later, talks were still ongoing... but seemingly without actually re-starting the actual talks, or telling Canada.
The #Canadains are not pleased & it offers one more chip off the UK's battered international reputation
Q. who do you believe, Henry Staunton (making a range of allegations about Govt. complicity in the #PostOffice#Horizon scandal), or #KemiBadenoch (denying them)?
I guess, it all depends on who you think has the most to gain (or hide) by lying.
I'll leave you to figure that on out for yourself.... [there may not be an easy answer]
